How to set up your content provider account
Account Creation
At the moment there is only one way of creating your Hottel.io content provider account and it is via Sign Up.
Sign Up
You create your account via email and password by simply tapping on the SignUp button at the login page of Hottel.io.
After clicking the Sign Up Button you will be redirect to a registration page where you have to insert the following information :

Name

Email
-
Password
-
Phone Number
At the moment you hit the green button, a confirmation email will be sent to the email you inserted previously, containing the authentication link for your account to become available for usage.
When the authentication step is fully completed, you then will have access to the administration panel and fully start your journey.
Reading Tip: Please make sure you search your mail categories, because the Hottel.io authentication email can be directly moved to the spam category.
Account Log In
There are two options available for the user to log into his account:

Email and Password

Gmail
All the usable elements are located inside the login page, where you can input the information required inside both email and password fields, or click on the google button where a list of your google accounts will appear for you to choose the one you inserted previously when you filled the sign up form.
When you first login to your Hottel.io account, you will be greeted from a one-time list of instructions.
Reading Tip: Make sure you pay attention to instructions because it will help create an image of what the administration panel mainly consists of.
Dashboard
After logging in, you will be redirected to the dashboard page, which shows real time information about the account like: Total number of properties under your account, Total number of your Live Tv channels, VOD, Packages/ Combos, Subscription/package total sales.
Reading Tip: The Analytics section of the Hottel.io administration panel is used mainly for a quick overview of how your business is performing.
Video Content
You can create or automatically import Live TV channels, VOD’s & Electronic Program Guide (EPG TV) supported in CSV or XML format files.
Channels
Inside the “Channels” module you can manage,export, create, edit Stream Source, Genres and Live TV Channels. To create Live TV Channels, click on the “create” button on the Top right corner among “Stream Source”, “Genres” and “Export” buttons.
Insert all the channel details as Channel Title/ name, Channel Number/Description (you can write a short description or only the channel name).
Since many of the elements mentioned do not need a detailed description we will focus on a few of them.
-The EPG Map ID field corresponds with the channel id you have in the EPG xml file that you have imported.
-There are two options for creating “Genres”:

By clicking on the “Genres” button on the Live Tv page.
To assign the newly created channel to a package you have the following options:
1. By choosing a package inside the channel edit page.
All the elements inside the Channel Edit Page are :

2. When creating a channel, you can also create the genres in the same page, by clicking on the Create Genre link.
2. Selecting the Packages options inside the commercial menu and editing a specific package.
The crucial component of a channel is always its stream. If you have more than one streaming server, you have the option to create more than one stream source on the management portal.

By clicking on the “Stream Source” button on the Channels page.

When creating a channel, you can also create the stream sources in the same page, by clicking on the “+” icon at the end of the edit page.
After clicking the “+” button you will be presented with the following options:

Token - If the stream is token protected , check the box and should provide a token URL.

Encryption - If Encryption is checked, you should provide an Encryption URL.
Reading Tip: After creating the Channel you can still re-edit it by simply clicking at the element inside the Channels List Page. You can also use the Search Field on the top left of the Channels List Page in case you have to many channels and it takes a long time to get to the one you wish to edit.
EPG TV
EPG (Electronic Program Guide) provides to the viewers detailed information about the TV program. It can include pictures, show description, title and casting information, but information depends on the selected EPG provider.
On the EPG TV page you can search for an existing EPG data by clicking on the “Search EPG” field or “CREATE” EPG data manually.
To create EPG Data manually you must fill in the fields shown in the picture below:

Channel Name* - the name of the channel that the EPG you are creating will be assigned to. You can select one from the dropdown list.

Program Name* - the name of the EPG program you are creating.
-
Program ID* - need to be matched to the EPG MAP ID on the respective channel.
-
Description* -the full description of the program.
-
StartTime & End Time *
-
Language* - the language used for this program.
-
SUBMIT
Reading Tip: Channel Name and Program ID need to always mirror the ones that are inserted inside the corresponding Channel Element.
VOD (Video On Demand)
When you first open the Vods section you will be greeted by the following option:

FIND FROM TMDB
Reading Tip: The Movie Database (TMDB) is a popular, user editable database for movies and TV shows.
After selecting “FIND FROM TMDB” the following prompt will appear:
Here you can enter the title of the movie element you want to create and it will automatically upload data to the element as soon as you hit the import button.
After the import is complete, you can click to the newly created element in order to edit out the rest of the configuration.The elements inside a VOD Edit Page are the following:

Configure Streams
Inside Category and Packages, you can select the package that you want to include this movie in, as well as which menu will it be part of (exp. Kids menu, Thriller menu, Action menu etc). The category field is used to express the movie status (exp. Latest Arrivals, Award Winning, Most Viewed etc).
Configuring the Movie stream is implemented the same way as the Channel’s stream configuration.
Reading Tip: When you have finished configuring your vod element, do not forget to check “Is available”, inside Movie Details. Without it, the movie will never appear inside the end user application.
Here you have an in depth explanation of all the vod elements in case you want to create them manually:
a. Movie Details
Creating the vod manually goes through 5 steps and gives you a preview of the vod while creating it follow as below:

Title* - the title of the movie.
-
Original Title* - You can use the same title twice.

Original Language* - the language of the movie.
-
Movie Overview* - you must write a description about the movie.
-
Adult Content - if the movie has adult content.
-
Pin protected – it will be required for the customer to insert the pin in order to watch the movie.

Is Available – if the movie you are creating is going to be shown to the customer.
b. Additional Details
On the additional details you should fill in the acquired fields as below:

Budget* - the movie budget.
-
Revenue* - the movie revenue.
-
Release Date* - the movie release date.
-
Vote Average* - how the viewers have voted the movie.
-
Vote Count* - the number of votes for the movie.
-
Popularity* - the popularity of the movie.
-
Select Spoken Language* - the language of the movie
-
Cast - the movie cast.
-
Director - the director of the movie.
c. Category and Packages
On the Category and Packages you should fill in the acquired fields as below:

Select Package - you can choose one of the existing packages to add this VOD. If you do not have an existing package you should create it on the Packages menu.

Menu / Category - If the Menu or Category already exists, it will be listed when clicked on each field. If The Menu or Category needs to be created, it is important to click the Add “NEW” which will be visible while typing, as shown in the picture below.
d. Media Options
Here you have to upload Poster and Backdrop for the movie you are creating.
e. Configure Streams
Stream Source - you can Create a Stream Source or choose one you have created before.
The channel’s stream can also be added in the same page, by clicking Stream URL

Token - If the stream is token protected, you have to check the token option, then you should provide a token URL

Encryption - If Encryption is checked, you should provide an Encryption URL.
Imports
You can automatically create channels and vods by importing CSV format files. Also for the Live Tv channels created you can import Epg XML files for multiple or single channels.
After clicking on IMPORT CSV, the following prompt will appear:
Commercial
The Commercial module is split into two sections:

Services
Packages
You can create a package by filling in the information of the package. Color tag represents the color that will identify the package through the portal. When editing a package, you can also edit the channels assigned to it.
When clicking the “Packages” label, the following elements will appear:

Package Name* - the name of the package.
-
Description - a short description to describe the package type.
-
Duration* - the duration of the package and the Unit calculated on Year, Month, Week, Day.
-
Pricing* - the package pricing in euro.
-
Color Tag - color tag represents the color that will identify the package through the portal.
-
Upload Image - Upload an image for the package created.
Services
In the services section, you can add different services that are offered by the hotel such as SPA, Gym etc, as well as tourist attractions and sites to be visited nearby.
Services are divided into Menus and Categories. If the Menu or Category already exists, it will be listed when clicked on each field.
Reading Tip: If the Menu or Category needs to be created, it is important to click the Add “NEW MENU” which will be visible while typing.
Sales Reports
On the Sales Report menu, you will have the option to generate three different reports, the total sales and total Earnings calculated by Product, by Date and by Months.
Reading Tip: When there are no subscriptions associated with your devices, the screen will appear as the image shown.
After assigning your first subscription, a list will appear and you can export the list into a CSV file.
Management
The management module is used for creating new properties, to where you can distribute your newly created packages. Once created, you can access that property and manage your content distribution to the end user devices from there.
Account Details
The creator of the content provider account can manage their business by going to the Account Details section of Hottel.io. The way you access Account Details is by clicking the name of your account on the top right corner of your browser view.

Inside User and Roles you will find all the users that you have invited, who have access to your Hottel.io Management Portal.
You can invite new users by clicking the “INVITE USER” button. After clicking the button, you then can enter the new user's email address, phone number, address and role. Once you click invite the user will receive a notification via email, that will grant them access to Hottel.io.
Now let’s move on to Account Details. Here you will find all your personal information. You can change them all, apart from the Role field, which will always stay the same (owner).
With Change Password you can change the password to your Hottel.io account in case you have shared it with someone else or you feel it is way too simple to be used as an everyday business password.
Reading Tip: Do not share your personal information with anyone outside the Magoware Support Team.
And last but not least the “LogOut” button, which by now we all know its purpose.
